IRLANDIANI: A IMPORTANT REALITY FOR THE ITALIANS OF IRELAND - di Enrico Lastrico
Italians love Ireland. Many citizens of the Mediterranean Country travel to Ireland every year. They are tourists, students and persons that have found job in this Country. The Italian emigrant Francesco Dominoni founded the italo-irish association Irlandiani various years ago. Dominoni is graduated in Political Science at Milan’s University and he’s a passionate of internet, web and on-line publishing. The Young went in Ireland in 2002 to improve his english. Dominoni found a job in IBM and after in Ebay in few weeks. The Young, son of two Italians doctors (the mother is pediatrician and the father is surgeon) survived to the genocide of Ugandan Dictator Amin. Subsequently he frequented the Liceo in Asmara and was very interested at the job of his father (his Dad was nominated responsible of Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Cooperation’s programs for the development). The Dominoni’s Liceo was in danger of closing because the Italian Government threatened to close all the Italian schools of the African Country. There was the war between Eritrea and Ethiopia. Dominoni wrote a letter to Prime Minister of Italy Giulio Andreotti.
