Croatia will remember the 20^th January 2012 as an historic day. A very important referendum for the future of this Country was held on this date. The citizens have expressed their opinion about the entry of Croatia in European Union, they have given favorable opinion. The victory of yes to European community has been clear, the citizens who have answered positively has been two thirds of voters. Citizens hope to leave behind their recent past. Croatia was a Constituent Country of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. When the dominion of Serbia in Yugoslavia and the will of Milosevic to realize the project of “Great Serbia” was evident Croatia declared its independency from Belgrade.

La Croazia ricorderà il 22 gennaio 2012 come un giorno storico. Si è svolto, in questa data, nel paese balcanico, un referendum molto importante per il futuro della nazione. I cittadini sono stati chiamati a esprimere la loro opinione sull’ingresso della Croazia nell’Unione Europea ed hanno manifestato parere favorevole. La vittoria del si è stata netta, i cittadini che si sono espressi favorevolmente sono stati il doppio rispetto ai contrari. La Croazia potrà ora diventare, dopo che il parlamento croato e i parlamenti dei 27 avranno ratificato il risultato del referendum nel corso delle loro riunioni, il 28° paese dell’Unione Europea.

On August 20 the Serbian Police arrested Goran Hadžić, the last war criminal of bloody conflict of Balkans in the nineties. The authorities of Republic of Serbia want to give, with this arrest, a message to Brusells, Serbia wants to turn over the page from its recent history. The main architect of this shift is Boris Tadic, the President of Serbia’s Republic. Tadic is a convinced European and has always worked, during his presidency, for the entry of Serbia in European Community.

Mercoledì 20 luglio è stato arrestato Goran Hadzic, l’ultimo criminale di guerra serbo ancora latitante. La Serbia ha così voltato pagina nei confronti della sua storia recente. Colui che ha maggiormente sostenuto questa svolta è il Presidente della Repubblica di Serbia Boris Tadic, un convinto europeista che, da quando è stato eletto alla guida del paese balcanico, ha sempre lavorato per l’ingresso della Serbia nell’Unione Europea.
